"Sha Shin" is the Japanese contemporary photography magazine launched by Fugensha in January 2022. Each issue is thematic and collects numerous photographs and contributions from photographers active on the contemporary scene, as well as a series of recommendations on photography books with which to enrich your own collection.
In the second issue, the theme is "Mosaic", we want to build an overall vision of contemporary society using the work of authors who deal with society's problems through a series of different points of view as pieces of a mosaic.
In the final part of the magazine there are English translations of some of the published articles including all the statements of the eight featured artists: Mari Katayama, Ayano Sudo, Sohei Nishino, Sakiko Nomura, Yang Seung-Woo, Leslie Kee, Miyako Ishiuchi and Seiichi Furuya.
A magazine aimed primarily at a Japanese-speaking audience but which opens up a glimpse into the very rich contemporary Japanese scene and which cannot be missing from the library of enthusiasts.
