Sono toki, Kaze ga, Yonin no mune wo kushizashi ni shita | Ben Sakamoto, Yoshinari Nishimura | West Village co. Ltd., 1981
Small oblong 4to, softcover. G/VG
In this work, Ben Sakamoto resumes life in Yoyoji Park, a youth meeting place and hotbed of fashion, from the late 1970s to the early 1980s. The activity of that period shows a marked influence of American culture: the people portrayed skate, play frisbee, a young baseball player sips a Coca Cola. The high contrast of the black and white photographs and the granularity of the images help form the aesthetics of this interesting volume.
Copy in good condition. The volume has dirt on the cover and back cover. On the second and third covers, as well as on the endpapers, there are spots left by an adhesive tape. The inside of the volume is generally clean except for some yellowing on the edges of the pages.
