"View of Shitamachi Tokyo" is a companion to "Weekend", published in 2023 by Sokyusha. While "Weekend "presented Tokyo streets in two different eras, the photos on this book are all taken in the '70s, during Showa era, in the eastern downtown of Tokyo.

“Whenever I walked around the area, I had a strange feeling that I could not tell whether I was experiencing reality, unreality, or a world between dreams and reality. I enjoyed this feeling while taking the photographs.
