"This work is a monochrome series of “Fragments” - scenes he encountered on the streets during his ten-year stay in New York from 1985 to 1995.

Geometric patterns formed by construction cones and caution tape, tablecloths and glasses glimpsed through show-windows, the manhole covers and the recurrence of dogs, the contrast of light and shadow on abandoned chairs—and the occasional human figures are also recorded as objects appearing on the street.
