Okinawa is the first series made in asian countries by Anders Petersen. Formerly shot in 2000 as part of "European eyes on Japan" project, part of those images where shown in Okinawa in the same year and published in a collective catalogue.
This books gathers all the shots made during that project, the main part of whose was unpublished before.
Anders Petersen photographed the street, in particular Kokusai Dori, the main street in Naha city, people, and small animals living there during a three week residence.
