"Tide brings together a body of photographs that Hiromi Furusato has continued to make over the past decade, from 2015 to the present. Centered on a woman living in Ishinomaki, Miyagi, the work has continually turned its camera toward the people living in the same time and toward the unfolding scenes and landscapes around them.
In these photographs, the fragile sensation that we are alive and present in an elusive “now” collides and dissolves.
