Shunga | Noriaki Kano, Yasuhiro Tatsuki, Tetsuya Ichumura | Ad Unguem 1972
Here we have a beautiful and really big deluxe set which gathers all the three volumes of Shunga series by Noriaki Kano, Yasuhiro Tatsuki, Testuya Ichumura. Printed in 1972 by Ad Unguem in elephant folio format, this set is a real heaviweight. All three volumes come with a dedicated slipcase and a sign sheet. Included in the set a curious oversized brochure housed in a paper bag.
This copy is in good to fair conditions, having suffered (and resisted with a certain success I must say) water damage. Below it's conditions in more details.
The outer case has several discolorations, scratches and stains visible in the photo. On the back it has stains, two rather extensive solar burns and an extensive yellowing due to water damage.
Inside the case the damage from water is visible in drippings of the external color of the case and parts of inner lining in paper are unglued.
The three volumes are accompanied by a large brochure housed in an envelope on which the printed signatures of the three authors stand out in multicolor ink both on the front and on the back. The brochure which has been folded in half and therefore has a fold over the entire width at half the length.
