Tokyo East Waves | Mitsugu Ohnishi | Fugensha 2024 [SIGNED]

"Tokyo East Waves" includes three series of snapshots of eastern Tokyo and its surrounding towns from the late 1980s to the early 1990s by Kimura Ihei Photography Award-winning author Mitsugu Onishi, published for the fist time in book format.

The 22nd Taiyo Prize-winning work ``Estuary Town/Koto Zero Meter Zone 84'' (1985) depicts the vicinity of the mouths of the Arakawa and Nakagawa Rivers. In the 18th Kimura Ihei Photography Award-winning work ``From the Surrounding Towns'' (1992) Onishi travels to cities near Tokyo from northwestern Chiba Prefecture to southern Saitama to take pictures. "Newcoast" (1995) was shot on the Tokyo Bay coast after Onishi moved to Rinkai-cho, Edogawa Ward.
